On Thursday, 17 September, at Orto del Sorriso in Jesi, Techpol took part in Le Vie del Benessere Festival, during the event “Business, welfare and inclusion: experiences and perspectives from the local community.”
Representing the company, Alessandra Romagnoli shared Techpol’s experience and the path developed over the years to create a working environment increasingly focused on people’s needs.
Welfare starts with listening
Balancing work and personal life means dealing every day with very different situations: a parent who needs to leave early to pick up their children, someone who has to manage medical treatment and travel, an employee who needs to turn accrued hours into time off, or a person going through a particularly difficult family or financial situation.
Different needs require equally flexible responses and, above all, the ability to listen and understand individual circumstances.
A path built over time
Today, Techpol employs around 210 people, with women accounting for more than 40% of the workforce. Female representation, particularly in production departments, has grown significantly compared with twenty years ago.
This evolution has also contributed to the development of tools and initiatives designed to support a better balance between professional and personal life.
Measures introduced over the years include more flexible working hours, solidarity leave schemes, health insurance for serious illnesses and financial contributions towards certain healthcare-related expenses.
Alongside these practical initiatives, one principle remains central: keeping an open dialogue with people.
“We want people to know that, when they have a problem, they can come and talk to us.”
Because behind a request for leave, a change in working hours or an absence, there may be a personal situation that deserves to be understood.
Growing together with our people
Taking part in Le Vie del Benessere Festival was an opportunity to share a welfare model shaped by everyday experience and by the willingness to find, whenever possible, solutions that respond to the real needs of the people working within the company.
An approach that reflects a key principle for Techpol: the company’s growth also depends on the wellbeing and value of the people who are part of it.
