Employee Well-being: Inclusion, Empowerment, and Professional Growth

Employee well-being is a cornerstone of Techpol’s corporate philosophy, which stands out for its innovative approach to inclusion and people development. In a sector traditionally dominated by men, such as plastic molding for the automotive industry, Techpol offers a different vision: 40% of its workforce is made up of women, many of whom hold key roles and leadership positions. The average employee age of 45 highlights the team’s stability and experience.

The company’s commitment to gender inclusion was officially recognized in 2017, when Techpol was among the 29 SMEs awarded the “Women Value Company – Intesa Sanpaolo”, a recognition given to companies that implement tangible policies for gender equality and work-life balance. This award acknowledges the adoption of concrete measures such as support services for balancing career and family, flexible working hours, benefits and leave policies for effective time management, non-discriminatory compensation policies, and merit-based professional development programs.

Employee well-being in everyday life is fostered through practical initiatives. In 2025, Techpol renewed its facilities by installing dispensers and collection bins for sanitary products, demonstrating attention to the specific needs of female workers. During the summer months, the company distributes mineral supplements to prevent dehydration and provides free water in all departments and offices, ensuring daily comfort for all employees.

Health protection is another key element of Techpol’s employee well-being approach. In 2022, the company signed a collective insurance policy with Intesa Sanpaolo that covers serious illnesses and preventive check-ups, providing health protection that goes beyond legal requirements. Production process automation is designed to be ergonomic and low-noise, reducing repetitive and loud activities while lowering physical and acoustic stress for employees.

Investment in internal training is a distinctive aspect of Techpol’s strategy. The company often hires people without prior experience and trains them directly through courses and mentoring, creating career growth paths based on merit while enhancing employee motivation and retention. The strategic choice to keep its operational headquarters in Morro d’Alba, despite opportunities for expansion elsewhere, reflects the company’s commitment to workers’ quality of life and its strong local roots.
