New research and development project with UNICAM, KraussMaffei Group Italia and Agenzia Simonelli

Techpol, in collaboration with the University of Camerino, KraussMaffei Group Italia and with the support of Agenzia Antonio Simonelli (KraussMaffei agency for Marche and Abruzzo) has given life to an ambitious project aimed at creating a technological hub, to support printers of Central Italy, which acts as a reference not only at the plant level but above all in the field of research and development.

As part of the project, training courses on injection molding will be offered, technical consultancy services for the study and optimization of industrial processes as well as feasibility analysis with reference to innovative products and applications, becoming the standard bearer of the philosophy of "metal replacement", whose objective is to reduce as much as possible the use of metal components in favour of plastic products, with consequent benefits in terms of flexibility, design, weight reduction and logistic optimization.

Precisely in the field of "metal replacement technology", Techpol will make available its know - how gained in over 40 years of experience in the design and injection molding of technopolymers, and its own laboratory equipped with sophisticated machinery and tools such as the Rheometer.

The German manufacturer KraussMaffei will supply the University of Camerino with an electric press from the PX series, which will be used by the university to practice on products that will become increasingly popular in the automotive sector and beyond.

We are very happy to strengthen our synergy with the University of Camerino with which we have been collaborating for several years both in integrated training activities (University/Company) and in research and technological development projects: we have a three-year research doctorate underway with the aim to identify new polymers that are increasingly sustainable and above all to substantially align themselves with the canons of the circular economy (read also here).
